Matt Ellett, of Normandy Drive, Taunton, is currently on trial at Taunton Crown Court accused of sexually abusing four girls and one boy during his time as a scout leader. The court heard allegations that one child was encouraged to masturbate, while another was subject to sexual discussions and sexual touching. In the courtroom, Mr Russell said: “She asked about kissing with tongues and you demonstrated, right?” He said: “The prosecution alleges Mr Ellett used his position of trust as a scout leader to sexually abuse these children.” However, Judge Shepherd outlined the defence case: “[Mr Ellett] denies any of the situations took place at all.
