By S. Matthew M. Quoi, Jr.NIMBA COUNTY, Liberia, July 30, 2026 – Former Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) candidate Mack Gblinwon has claimed that thousands of Nimbaians could lose their jobs if Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung were no longer serving in office. Speaking to a gathering of supporters, Gblinwon argued that Vice President Koung’s position has created employment opportunities for many residents of Nimba County across various government institutions. “If the Vice President is no longer Vice President, thousands of Nimbaians will become jobless,” Gblinwon said, emphasizing what he described as the importance of maintaining the county’s political influence at the national level. He urged Nimba citizens to remain united and support leaders whom he believes are working to preserve the county’s voice in national governance. Gblinwon further argued that political differences should not overshadow efforts to safeguard opportunities for the people of Nimba County.
