Pioneer Days has been an annual celebration in Steinbach since Mennonite Heritage Village opened as a museum over 60 years ago. Pioneer Days encourages conversations between older and younger generations, passing on stories, values and traditions. For the kids, Pioneer Days is loaded with interactive experiences. Nothing beats fluffy, fresh Roll Kuchen with watermelon on a summer afternoon, or hot-off-the-grill crispy waffles with white Sauce. Aug. 1 to 3 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Annual Pioneer Days Festival.
