Post Malone is headed to Sesame Street, but not just to sing. The genre-jumping star will appear in the new special Storm on Sesame Street, premiering Aug. 3 on Netflix and PBS KIDS, as part of a broader Sesame Workshop initiative aimed at helping children cope with increasingly common extreme weather events. The special finds Elmo, Abby Cadabby and the rest of the Sesame Street neighborhood preparing for a major storm before coming together to rebuild afterward. Storm on Sesame Street also revives a theme the franchise has tackled before. Sesame Workshop notes that the new program builds on the legacy of the 2001 special Sesame Street Gets Through a Storm, which later aired again following Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy.
