The milestone was recognised during a Herefordshire Council meeting on July 24, where councillors reaffirmed the county’s commitment to supporting Ukraine.
The meeting also explored ways to strengthen future links with the Ukrainian region of Zhytomyr.
Councillor Jonathan Lester, leader of Herefordshire Council, said: "Welcoming more than 1,000 Ukrainians to Herefordshire is a remarkable achievement and one that our entire county can be proud of."
The success reflects the generosity of hosts and the work of Herefordshire Council’s Refugee Resettlement and Migration Support team.
"I would also like to thank our Refugee Resettlement and Migration Support team for their efforts in helping to achieve this important milestone."
