The labour market data out next week will give us another vantage point. Labour market strength will take time and requires business sentiment to improve. That bodes well for the rest of the year, but could easily be derailed by the Middle East conflict re-escalating. The labour market data will start to show some of the ripple effects of the war in the Middle East. It’s still too early to see how the conflict in the Middle East has affected our economy.
