The value of the slip repair programme was approximately $17 million, with the majority of this funded by NZTA. Kaipara District Council Mayor Jonathan Larsen said this programme has been a huge team effort. On Houto Road work began in June to repair a major slip. Once the slip repair programme wraps up, attention will turn to the Low Cost Low Risk programme of work, and construction of this programme over the summer period.
