Borussia Mönchengladbach have signed Daiki Hashioka on a season-long loan from Czech champions Slavia Prague, with the deal including an option to buy the Japan international.
Hashioka came through the ranks at Urawa Red Diamonds, where he won the Emperor's Cup in 2018, before spells with Sint-Truiden and Luton Town.
On the Slavia books since summer 2025, the 27-year-old also spent the second half of last season on loan at Gent.
"When my agent told me Borussia were interested, I was delighted," said Hashioka, who will wear the No.14 shirt at Gladbach.
Hashioka is the third Japanese player in the current Gladbach ranks, alongside striker Shuto Machino and fellow summer signing Zento Uno.
