Casino Maryland is suing a Las Vegas promotional vendor, alleging the company supplied knockoff Louis Vuitton handbags that triggered a federal trademark lawsuit from the French luxury brand. Faced with a trademark infringement lawsuit, the casino is suing its supplier, which it says did not properly vet the merchandise. Casino paid $167,162 for the “Lux Monogram” bags after Power Promotions pitched the products for a first-quarter 2026 promotion. Casino also alleges Power Promotions later refused demands to defend and indemnify the casino against Louis Vuitton’s claims. The casino is seeking indemnification, contribution, damages for alleged breaches of contract and warranty, and reimbursement of any damages, attorneys’ fees, or costs it may ultimately incur if the Louis Vuitton lawsuit is successful.
