Steamboat Springs runner wins Cascade Crest 100 ultramarathon in record time

Steamboat Springs ultramarathoner Devon Olson broke the course record and won this year’s Cascade Crest 100 , a 100-mile endurance race through Washington’s Cascade mountains,He finished the 100-mile race in 18 hours, 33 minutes and 21 seconds.
The Cascade Crest 100 is considered one of the hardest ultramarathons in the country and is a qualifier for the famed Western States 100 in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains.
“The Pittsburgh Marathon set me up well to transition into the Cascade Crest,” explained Olson.
