Citi employees traded their desks for paintbrushes as the financial institution marked Global Community Day 2026 with a hands-on community project to improve the lives of residents at the Eternal Light Community – Joshua House. Citi Trinidad & Tobago Country Officer Mitchell De Silva said Global Community Day reflects the institution’s belief that stronger communities are built when people work together. Global Community Day is Citi’s worldwide volunteer programme that brings together employees, alumni, family members and friends to participate in community service projects in the countries where the bank operates. “At Citi, we recognize that creating lasting impact requires collaboration and a shared commitment to community development. Through Global Community Day, we are honoured to support meaningful projects that address local needs, inspire positive change, and reinforce our commitment to helping build a more inclusive and resilient Trinidad & Tobago,” he added.
