The shop thefts happened on July 18 and 20 at a shop in Dereham Road and another in Westwick Street, where items including confectionery, laundry products and polo shirts were reported stolen. The burglaries took place between the July 25 and 28 at properties in The Erins, Beckwiths Court and Boot Binders Road. A man in his 30s was arrested on Wednesday morning in Lothian Street following patrols in the city. Christopher Stephenson, 32, of Reepham Road, Norwich, was charged with three counts of burglary with theft, three counts of theft from a shop, three counts of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and two counts of fraud by false representation. He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance on August 27.
