Samyneil Bower, 22, of Victoria Road, Ellesmere Port, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, July 29. CPS prosecutor, Selda Krasniqi, told the court that the defendant had been residing in supported accommodation at Alexandra House in Crewe since April, 2025. Bower had 12 previous convictions for 30 offences, though the defence made the point that none of these were drug trafficking matters. Ian Whitehurst, defending Bower, spoke of the defendant’s candour and his cooperation with the probation service in compiling the pre-sentence report. Bower had been motivated to sell the drug ‘to pay off a drug debt from a cannabis addiction from early in his childhood’.
