VIJAYAWADA: More than one lakh candidates have applied for 639 Assistant Executive Engineer (AEEE) posts in Andhra Pradesh's power utilities, including AP Transco, AP Genco and the power distribution companies (Discoms). This was stated by AP Transco joint managing director (Vigilance & HRD) Surya Sai Praveen Chand on Thursday. The recruitment process, notified on June 25, 2026, would be conducted in a completely transparent, impartial and merit-based manner, he said. Praveen Chand reiterated that merit in the written examination would be the sole criterion for selection and that no individual could influence the recruitment process. Praveen Chand also said a 24-hour online grievance redressal system has been made available through the AP Power Recruitment Portal to address candidates' queries and complaints promptly.
