Moroccan operator inwi has partnered with Huawei to commercially deploy what is described as an innovative 1.8GHz + 2.1GHz dual-band 8T8R solution across the country's major transportation corridors, including high-speed railway and highway routes. inwi and Huawei say they have jointly deployed the solution, which works with high-gain Hertz antennas, to significantly improve signal coverage. HyperBeamforming mainly applies to scenarios where horizontal coverage is narrow (for example, high-speed railway coverage scenarios). With this feature, coverage scenarios can be specified for FDD 8T8R cells to generate narrow beams by weighting signals, improving coverage depth. This solution uses the HyperBeamforming technology to enable more accurate and concentrated narrow beams, significantly reducing signal interference and expanding single-site coverage by 30%.
