Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) delivered stronger-than-expected second-quarter 2026 earnings, but its shares slipped 4% in after-hours trading as investors looked beyond the headline results and focused on the quality of the company's earnings.
Revenue remained a bright spot, with total net revenue climbing 32% year over year to a record $1.31 billion, surpassing analysts' forecasts of $1.25 billion.
Meanwhile, net interest revenue rose 9% to $389 million despite ongoing pressure from changing interest rate conditions.
Robinhood Gold subscriptions increased 39% from a year earlier to a record 4.8 million members, while quarterly net deposits reached $21.7 billion.
Although Robinhood exceeded earnings and revenue expectations, investors appeared cautious about the sustainability of its growth, sending HOOD stock lower despite another quarter of record revenue.
