Earlier this week, Shearwater released the closing track and final preview of their latest album, The New World, revealing its biggest surprise. And that’s really the fun of watching or looking at the natural world, whether it’s birds or mammals. The outside world really doesn’t intrude very much except when you go to the grocery store. When his ships arrived, they came into this little cove called called Friendly Cove, because the people there were very friendly to them, but what they saw was extraordinary. It’s just, as a human being, you build a world in your mind and you interact with it, and it has more or less a relationship to the world that’s actually here.
