The Brenham Fire Department went out to two calls on Wednesday. Coming up on 2:45 p.m., units responded to the Mill Creek Residence Hall, 1192 Old Mill Creek Road, for a fire alarm. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building, and they found an alarm company on location testing the alarm. Close to 4:45 p.m., the department was dispatched to another fire alarm at a home in the 2000 block of Arable Court. Firefighters arrived and helped the homeowner replace the batteries in the smoke detector.
