BP to axe 700 workers as cuts continue

BP jobs are on the line with confirmation that it will cut around 700 global roles in the business.
The company set out the news in an email to impacted employees on Wednesday afternoon, signed by Gordon Birrell, executive vice president for production and operations.
The cuts are expected to cover around 700 roles around the world in non-frontline production and operation roles, around 8%.
In June 2020, BP set out plans to cut around 10,000 workers across the world in response to the pandemic-induced downturn.
