Randy's Donuts, a Los Angeles-based chain, opened its first Bay Area location Friday morning in Santa Clara. – right across the street from Stan's Donut Shop, a local favorite since 1959. The first 25 customers got free doughnuts and swag from the owners. Randy's is known for its lengthy menu, which includes raised, buttermilk and premium doughnuts.
