A Georgia man was arrested early this morning (July 30) after reportedly fleeing from police on a motorcycle and crashing on South Main Street. Maddox reportedly made a U-turn and failed to use turn signals, so police initiated a traffic stop at South Main Street and Pearl Street. Maddox allegedly continued westbound on Pearl Street, where he failed to stop at the stop sign at Church Street, then was clocked at 86 mph on Pearl. According to the police report, he then went eastbound on Pearl, passing vehicles on the street, then turned south onto South Main Street. Maddox reportedly reached speeds of over 100 mph on South Main Street, before crashing just north of the U.S. 6 overpass.
