The Grovetown Police Department, Erica's Boutique, and Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church each plan their own events from July 31 through Aug. 1. The Grovetown Police Department throws its yearly National Night Out Back-To-School Bash from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Liberty Park. Students pick up school supplies there. They're holding a back-to-school gathering Saturday with haircuts and braids at no charge. Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church kicks off its yearly gathering at 10 a.m. Saturday.
