MITCHELL – Community members will have an opportunity to learn the difference between normal age-related memory changes and signs that could indicate dementia during a free educational program at the Mitchell Community Public Library this fall.
The presentation, “What is Normal vs. Not Normal in Aging,” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Mitchell Community Public Library.
Presenters will discuss how these experiences differ from abnormal cognitive changes that may warrant evaluation by a healthcare professional.
Organizers hope the program will help attendees better recognize the signs of healthy aging while increasing awareness of symptoms associated with dementia and other cognitive disorders.
Those interested can reserve a spot by calling the Mitchell Community Public Library at 812-849-2412.
