King Mohammed VI has received congratulatory messages from numerous heads of state on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of his accession to the throne, as world leaders extended their wishes for Morocco’s continued prosperity and reaffirmed longstanding bilateral ties.
Among the first leaders to send their greetings was United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who conveyed his congratulations to King Mohammed VI and wished the Moroccan monarch continued good health and happiness, along with further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Morocco.
The UAE President was joined by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, who also sent congratulatory messages to King Mohammed VI on the national occasion.
The King also received congratulatory messages from the leaders of Russia, Japan, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other countries.
Throne Day, celebrated annually on July 30, commemorates King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne in 1999 and is one of Morocco’s most significant national holidays.
