Morocco’s Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch hosted an official luncheon in Tetouan on Thursday to mark the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne, attended by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid.
Upon their arrival, the Crown Prince and Prince Moulay Rachid reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard that rendered honors before being welcomed by Akhannouch.
The luncheon brought together the presidents of both Houses of Parliament, King Mohammed VI’s advisors, government ministers, heads of constitutional institutions, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces General Staff, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, members of the Moroccan community living abroad, and other civilian and military officials.
The luncheon was part of the official program marking Throne Day, which commemorates King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne on July 30, 1999.
