King Mohammed VI presided over an official reception in the city of M’diq on Thursday to mark the 27th anniversary of his accession to the throne. The King was accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed during the ceremony, which took place at M’diq-Fnideq Prefecture Square. During the reception, King Mohammed VI received greetings from senior Moroccan officials, including Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami, and Speaker of the House of Councillors Mohamed Ould Errachid, as well as foreign diplomats and religious leaders. FIFA President Gianni Infantino also greeted King Mohammed VI during the reception. The annual Throne Day reception is one of the Kingdom’s principal official ceremonies, bringing together Moroccan institutions and international guests to commemorate King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne on July 30, 1999.
