The Property Masters Guild (PMG) has announced the nominees for the third annual MacGuffin Awards, honoring the creative work of property masters across film, television, and commercials. Winners will be revealed at a live ceremony on Sept. 12, at the Paramount Theater in Hollywood. Now in its third year, the MacGuffin Awards continue to spotlight the artisans responsible for the props that shape a production's world, from period-accurate set dressing to fantastical blockbuster hardware. "Year after year, the caliber of work submitted for these awards reaffirms just how much property masters shape the stories we love," PMG President Jeffrey Johnson said in a statement. "We started this award to make sure that kind of artistry never goes unnoticed, and this year's field proves exactly why that mission matters."
