Staff ReporterDIMAPUR, JUL 29 (NPN): In a move to improve public safety and promote sustainable infrastructure, the Rotary Club of Dimapur (RCD) has installed a High Mast Solar Street Light at the busy Murgi Patti–G.S. Road Junction through a Rotary District Grant. The junction, one of Dimapur’s busiest commercial intersections, had long suffered from inadequate lighting, raising safety concerns for pedestrians, commuters, motorists and nearby businesses. Speaking to Nagaland Post, Rotary Club president Pradeep Goel said the project was undertaken to address poor visibility while promoting renewable energy. Describing the installation as more than a public utility, Goel said the High Mast Solar Street Light symbolises Rotary’s commitment to “Service Above Self” by combining innovation, sustainability and community partnership to create a safer and greener public space.
