The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) stands today at a decisive turning point in its journey. Yet, at present, it resembles a movement more than a party, and that distinction is crucial. Movements thrive on emotion and can rise quickly, but parties must survive through organisation, ideology, leadership, and electoral discipline. Can CJP, if it transforms into a political party, draw enough support from the youth and from those disillusioned with other formations who seek a promised change? It can remain a protest symbol or evolve into a political force.
