The Phillies, as currently constructed, are a playoff team with arguably the worst position player group in the league. In every year since 2022, Phillies position payers have been worth at least 20 bWAR. If the season ended today, the 2026 team would be the least productive Phillies position player group since 1970, when its position players were worth a combined -0.8 bWAR. The Phillies could arguably use an overhaul to their position player group, the kind of shakeup fans were begging for this offseason.
