Unlike the first time he was called up in April, he finally got the chance to pitch in the pinstripes. McFarlane was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, marking his first opportunity in Triple-A. Typically, players make their Triple-A debut before their big-league debut, but the process was backwards for McFarlane. McFarlane is now the newest addition to an IronPigs bullpen that has been a revolving door with the Phillies’ bullpen all season long.
