ST. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda — A 54-year-old Guyanese national convicted of rape has been deported after completing an 18-year prison sentence in Antigua and Barbuda.
Eustace Barry was released from His Majesty’s Prison on Wednesday after serving the custodial sentence imposed by the High Court.
As a non-national, Barry was not permitted to remain in Antigua and Barbuda after completing his sentence.
The page also said it plans to continue highlighting other convicted sex offenders as part of its public awareness campaign.
It also called for continued support for victims, public education and efforts to prevent sexual violence.
