It’s almost back-to-school time again, and organizations around Milwaukee are gearing up to give out school supplies and hundreds of backpacks. Grab a free backpack and school supplies while you connect with vital community resources at South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd., on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reserve a spot here. Head to UMOS Inc., 2701 S. Chase Ave. on Thursday, Aug. 13 to receive a backpack filled with school supplies from 2 to 5 p.m. Backpacks are distributed first-come, first-served while supplies last. Grab a backpack, free food, get your face painted or dance to a live DJ.
