Jeannette’s police dog Diesel was injured Thursday after being bit by another dog, according to police Chief Derek Manley. City officers were helping agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation around noon to find a person who was wanted on federal drug charges at a home on Adams Street, Manley said. “While at a residence, an individual from inside put their pit bull in their back yard,” he said. Shortly after being placed in the backyard, the pit bull jumped a 4-foot chain link fence and charged after Diesel, biting onto his neck.” FBI Pittsburgh spokesman Bradford Arick confirmed special agents had help from Jeannette police as part of an ongoing investgation during the incident.
