But sitting down to an unhurried family dinner at least twice a week, the way Duarte and her husband did as children growing up in Mexico, is non-negotiable.
Through her role leading the Evanston Professional Moms Network (a chapter of the national Professional Moms Community Network), Duarte realized she was not alone in feeling burdened by dinner.
At networking events, working moms cited dinner over and over again as one of their biggest struggles.
“I’m a mom, I don’t have time to go through hundreds of recipes,” Duarte explained.
Duarte hopes to inspire families and kids to linger at the table by helping them start a special conversation.
