The city will host its next First Fridays event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Mason Park, Church Street and Florence Avenue. The free community event will include food, music, games, bingo, raffles and an obstacle course for all ages. Before the event, residents can attend the grand opening of Foster Elementary School, 1600 Simpson St., from 3 to 6 p.m.
