Scharf said she believes about 20 families prepaid tuition for their children and are now owed refunds.
Reached for comment, the Roycemore board said: “The board of trustees has no further comment at this time.”
However, numerous parents told the RoundTable that the school had already spent prepaid tuition money.
It also launched two crowdfunding campaigns on May 18, the Save Roycemore Campaign and the Roycemore Teachers First Fund — both of which did not reach their goals.
Indeed, on the Save Roycemore Campaign website, it states that donors could choose to redirect funds to the Roycemore Teachers First campaign if the Save Roycemore campaign failed to meet its goals.
