The plan calls for 176 housing units, with 80% of them intended to be sold at an affordable housing rate. The developer, Beacon Communities LLC, is repurposing the existing building into housing units. The Housing Department has invested roughly $1.3 billion in its affordable housing initiative, said Housing Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno.
