DC hardcore band NØ MAN — which features 3/4th of Majority Rule — will follow up 2024’s great Glitter and Spit with a new album, Between the Sword and the Neck, that’s out October 30 via Iodine Recordings.
The album features contributions from FAIM‘s Kat Lanzillo-Hidalgo, HIRS Collective‘s Jenna Pup, and poet Kamelah Shami (who is vocalist Maha Shami’s mother).
The album title comes from Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani, and is a metaphor for “the impossibility of genuine negotiation between an oppressor and the oppressed.”
Shami is the daughter of Palestinian refugees and the band say the album is rooted in the Arabic word “sumud,” which means “steadfastness or perseverance.”
NØ MAN have a few shows this weekend with Reversal of Man, playing Toronto, Montreal and Burlington, VT. Those dates are listed below.
