Phish wrapped up a five show run at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, which brings them to 96 shows at the arena. Phish.net called them “five monumental, historic and once-in-a-lifetime shows to make any phan of any caliber freak out,” highlighting the final night as “one of the greatest all-time shows Phish has ever put on, in my very attendance-driven bias.” More from Relix:The year 1996 was a transitional period for Phish, as they settled into arenas around the country and continued to move from the once tightly woven compositions that defined their earlier works to a more traditional, heartfelt style of songwriting.
