A 43-year-old man, Kingsley Chukwudebelu, on Thursday appeared before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for alleged N1.1 million fraud. Kingsley, whose address was not provided, is facing a three-count charge of breach of peace, fraud, and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty. The Prosecutor, ASP Simon Njue, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Jan. 24 at No. Njue alleged that the defendant collected the N1.1 million from the complainant, Mr Asehon David, to supply 90 cartons of tiles, and 18 bags of cement, but failed to do so. Njue also alleged that the defendant breached the peace when he failed o supply the items and refused to refund the complainant’s money.
