Driver Injured After Car Slams Into Clayton Medical OfficeContributed Photo by Ray WorkmanCLAYTON, N.C. — A driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries after crashing a vehicle into a medical office building in Clayton Wednesday afternoon. The Clayton Fire Department responded just before 1 p.m. to a report of a vehicle that struck the North Carolina Heart & Vascular building at 2076 Veterans Parkway, Suite 100. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was injured in the crash and transported to UNC Health Johnston – Clayton for treatment. Although the driver was taken to the hospital within the same medical complex, officials emphasized the collision occurred at a separate medical office building. No patients or employees inside the North Carolina Heart & Vascular office were injured.
