Staff ReportWARSAW – An Akron woman was arrested for allegedly using a bat to injure a person. Kristy Lee Guess, 55, 8202 W. 1275S, Akron, is charged with battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and battery resulting in bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy located a woman with a cut underneath her left eyebrow and dried blood on her face. According to court documents, the woman said she and Guess had an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation when Guess hit her with a bat. Guess told police she had a verbal argument with the woman and punched her but denied using a bat to hit her.
