Kevin McLaughlin is awaiting sentence, having pleaded guilty to three charges at the High Court in Glasgow this week.
He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of another class A substance, cocaine, at this time.
McLaughlin admitted abducting a man on this date by locking him within a vehicle.
Court papers stated that McLaughlin, who is currently remanded in HMP Dumfries, also assaulted the man.
During a hearing at the High Court on Monday, July 27, McLaughlin pleaded guilty to all three charges.
