Demolition work has begun at Liston Hall on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University. Johnson C. Smith University began tearing down Liston Residence Hall on Wednesday. University president Valerie Kinloch said the demolition shows JCSU's commitment to students who'll attend in years ahead. Workers built the residence hall in 1962. Administrators compared what repairs would cost against what a new building could offer down the road before making their choice.
