MITCHELL — Community members are invited to learn how healthy lifestyle choices may help protect cognitive function during an upcoming brain health presentation hosted by the Rural Dementia Network. The free program, titled “Brain Health with the Rural Dementia Network,” will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Mitchell Community Public Library. The educational session will focus on the latest research surrounding brain health and the everyday habits that may help delay or prevent cognitive decline as people age. Participants will learn about the key pillars of brain health and how lifestyle choices can influence long-term cognitive wellness. The event is being presented through the Rural Dementia Network in partnership with the Mitchell Community Public Library as part of ongoing efforts to increase awareness and education about dementia and brain health in rural communities.
