A man in his 30s from Basildon was arrested for a series of offences, including possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply, driving without insurance and failing to stop. The pursuit began shortly after 10.50pm on Tuesday 28 July, when an officer spotted suspicious activity in the area of Eastwood Road, Rayleigh and attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver failed to stop, and a pursuit began, reaching speeds of more than 100mph before being brought to a halt on Hovefields Avenue in Wickford. Officers found and seized quantities of ketamine, cocaine, cannabis, and a sum of cash. Essex Police confirmed the details of the incident.
