Five-year-old's dream comes true after meeting beloved Gruffalo character

Five-year-old Ruby Marshall from Lancaster was diagnosed with Pearson’s syndrome at just 11 months old.
She met the Mouse from The Gruffalo during a visit to Blackpool’s Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse.

Mrs Marshall said: "Pearson’s syndrome is ridiculously rare and doesn’t have a great prognosis, there is no cure and little research around the condition.
Jenn McDonough, general manager at the Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse, said: "We want to make dreams come true for children and hopefully today we did exactly that!"
