Three alleged criminals didn’t travel far after police said they took items from a Johnson City business early Thursday. The incident took place just before 2 a.m. at the South Broadway Street location. A store clerk told officers the trio took items and then threatened them with a knife before exiting the location. Less than a half-block away on Pardee Street, the merchandise the crooks took and clothing they were wearing was recovered and the trio was arrested. Two juveniles and 19-year-old Matthew George of Erwin face one count of aggravated robbery.
