Members of the Blackburn Hope Foundation (BHF) collected the money through street collections and standing outside mosques for six weeks.
The hospice cares for those with life-limiting illnesses in Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn, and the Ribble Valley.
Sajid Daar from the BHF team also arranged the collection at Hashmi Masjid.
Cllr Shaukat Hussain said: "It was a pleasure to support, help Adnan, Rizwan, and all the volunteers from Blackburn Hope Foundation in raising £8,200 for East Lancashire Hospice.
Cllr Hussain Akhtar said he was delighted to see the team support a local cause.
